28mm WWII Warlord Games Bolt Action American Forward Observation Officer

Here is the prep and prime video on this particular mini set:

Prep and Prime A Bolt Action Forward Observer Team

I didn't think I was likely to post anything as my impending move to Rhode Island is nearing at the end of July. My work has been crazy, and finishing up projects for my wife has been a little hectic. Over the last 3 weeks or so, I did take a few minutes here and there to complete a Warlords Games Bolt Action FOO (Forward Observation Officer) set. This is a pretty nice sculpt, and other than the rifleman's carbine barrel getting totally bent, it was pretty easy to paint. I will tell you that I happen to like these little 3 man sets (see my video on you tube about the American Mortar Team for the last one.) They seem like building a mini diorama.
I pretty much painted and based it identical to my Mortar team, but went with some different grass creating a totally different environment for these guys. Here are some pics. Enjoy!

The mortar team is in an Italy like environment, while the FOO team looks like it might be in Southern France.

The officer on the right is wearing glasses which was a great painting challenge!

I really liked the flowers in the scene. They really made the troops details spring out.

Comparing the FOO next to the mentioned Mortar team.

A future build of a bazooka team. You see that I started with a 60mm Litko base for my FOO.

The blown over tree was found in my driveway as a stick.

Over the top. Yes indeed.

The flock grass hides the edges of the removable figs very well in this setting.

I have heard that the FOO's time on the battlefield can be limited, so I made all but one removable.

One more from the rear.

I drilled out the hole for the "tree" and superglued it to the base there by giving me "Cheetos" proof carrying capabilities!

Thanks for looking!
