I have to admit between my many hobbies, of model building I really enjoy figure modeling in the top of my favorite subjects. Of all that can be said of history, in the end the great and worst moments fell on the backs of people. Below are a few of the kits I have done in the last year. The first below is a Verlinden Cannonade Station. I liked this kit for it's detail on what normally is a very small part of a warship. I would have liked it better if some hand tools were included like the tampion, or a packer.
The kit is completely resin, and a challenge to cut with a hobby knife. The securing rings were a challenge as well. The molded detail in the buckets and deck are fantastic.
The next kit is a group of Union Civil War infantryman from Dragon's Sword and Saber Series. The kit was first rate, with even small wire packing rods included. I scratchbuilt the wall and foliage, but may revisit it since I think is was a little sparse.
Thanks for viewing, have a great day!
